The Future of Africa is a freestanding philanthropic initiative dedicated to supporting visionary social entrepreneurs across the African continent.
Africa is home to the world’s youngest population, fastest-growing digital ecosystems, and enormous potential for economic development. Yet access to capital, infrastructure, and stable institutional support remains uneven.
The Future of Africa was created to address this gap. Not by importing solutions, but by supporting African-led initiatives rooted in local knowledge and leadership.
Digital tools have transformed how communities organize, fundraise, learn, and collaborate. When used intentionally, they lower barriers to participation and allow solutions to emerge from networks rather than institutions alone.
The Future of Africa supports projects that use technology not as an end in itself, but as an instrument for coordination, transparency, and inclusion.
The Future of Africa was incubated within Civique and reflects its core philosophy: aligning visibility with purpose and ethics with action. Its advisory board is composed by Africa-born female social entrepreneurs, founders of nonprofits or businesses with social impact. Most of them with a past as fashion model or representing their countries in beauty contests.
As a freestanding nonprofit initiative, it operates with its own governance, advisory board, and executive leadership. Civique contributes with strategic guidance, logistic support and access to its digital platforms. The Future of Africa fundraises in New York City and provides grants to nonprofits working in Africa. It is in the process of acquiring 501(c)(3) status in New York State.
